Chandmani Shandil is calling from Eragada village of Banki Panchayat Gurundiya block, Sundergarh district in Odisha and says PDS ration distribution was irregular here. Dealers use to cheat saying stock has finished. Women there say they reported it on Swara and following this officers have responded and now dealers inform villagers on stock arrival through notices. Naresh Bunkar is calling from Bangar village of Sendurkhar Panchayat in Pandaria block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh to say that 159 Baiga Adivasis hold ration cards in villages around here but didn’t have a ration shop nearby.They live up in the hills and had to walk 9 kms to get their ration every month.
