NREGA : Middlemen took away job cards,withdraws money with fraudulent entries...
A villager from Ranchi district of jharkhand says in his area all the NREGA job cards of villagers have been taken away by middlemen and they only take out the money from post offices on villagers behalf. no one has got job for 100 days here but some job card shows that people have worked for 100 days. Bindeshwari Painkra from Kachnar Adivasi welfare society in Sitapur Surguja says that we reported about many NREGA non payment of wages cases on Swara after our foot march in 50 villages where some people have not been paid for more than 2 years. NREGA commissioner had ordered officials on 15th April to reply within 2 weeks after that. One week has passed and there have been no payment. Wrong entry in NREGA database raises questions
Sanjay Sharma from Surguja says officials keep complaining the NREGA payments are delayed because it takes time in entry in MIS ( Management Information System). But he wants to give the example of famous Pitbasu Bhoi case who was paid his wages for 100 days of work after it was picked up by many in media. He says this online system says Mr Bhoi worked for 88 days and was paid Rs 8800. Mr Bhoi has also applied for his late payment compensation but there is no movement on the complaint yet

Campaign to find non users of NREGA in Chhattisgarh questioned
Sanjay Sharma says Rural development department of Chhattisgarh government has started a campaign to identify people who have not requested for work under MGNREGA to remove their names from list within a month. He says as per current practice no one applies for work in Chhattisgarh, Gram Panchayats arrange for work, so how is the state going to find out who is not applying? Director NREGA orders to reply on non payment of wages
