Himanshu Kumar is narrating the story of Seema Azad who is langueshing in Uttar Pradesh jail from last one year on charges of being a Maoist. Himanshu says Seema faught a successful legal case against sand mafia and got an order that no machine should be used in sand extraction and all the work should be got done by women self help groups. This victory was the main reason behind arrest of Seema Azad, he says

दैवी चमत्कार की अलौकिक कोई शक्ति
तुम्हारी जर्जरित सांसों के तार तार होने तक
वो करते रहेंगे और भी कई कई चमत्कार

Dantewada session court has once again rejected the bail application of peace activist Kopa Kunjam. His colleague and head of Vanvasi Chetna Ashram Dantewada Himanshu Kumar says Kopa’s bail application will now be tried in high court. Kopa worked with VCA and was arrested on 10th Dec 2009. Himanshu says Kopa was working for rehabilitation of Salwa Judum affected tribals and was trying to make sure that ration, education and health services properly function in those villages.

Reacting to the news of the drive of Collector Dantewada to evict non tribals from tribal lands in Dantewada Himanshu Kumar says that if government really wants to help tribals then they should first evict those companies who have captured tribal lands. He says as advised by Samata judgement Colletor should be acting against the companies under 170 (B)
