They also asked the family to buy equipments needed for delivery.The doctor demands Rs 200 to sign on the form of Janani Suraksh Yojna. When free ambulence is not available then one needs to hire a vehicle to reach the hospital. This way a poor woman ends up spending more than Rs 2000 for delivery. This needs to change. Anil Bamne from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh says govt has privatized the bus transport in the state some time back stating that state transport corporation was running in loss. But the state has no control on private bus operators who are giving their bus on rent to highest bidder and people are suffering. Anil Bamne from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh says couple of weeks back I had reported about non functioning of Anganwadi centers in adivasi villages inside Achanakmar tiger reserve. After the report the offials did a inspection and found the anganwadis to be closed in two villages and food was stored in the house of a govt official.
