He is talking to a local adivasi farmer Bandhu Muduli who says they had applied for land deeds under Forest Rights Act in 2007 after forming a committee and a survey as per law. Raju Rana is visiting Bari village in Chandwa block of Latehar district in Jharkhand. When he talks to people they say they are all poor but many do not have Below Poverty Line cards. Some had name included in last BPL list. They have complained to officers but nothing moves. They have also applied for community forest right under Forest Rights Act but has not heard anything back. Charan Parte is at Sarasmal village in Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh where people tell him that there are mines in 3 sides of their village and they can not go to forest to get wood and other forest produce as they did before. Water level has gone down and they are not left with any source of drinking water. There is huge pollution.
