Nathulal Rathore from Jaitahari block in Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh says a 5 kms long pipeline was dug in their area for drinking water in 2008-09 but there was no water in last 5 years. After he reported in Swara the officials have now visited and tried to dig a bore which did not work. Jayant Rangari from Antagarh in Kanker district in Chhattisgarh says at one end we are facing acute water shortage where as so much water flows through drains which ends up in ocean via rivers. He says we should look at stopping this water in soak pits which will recharge ground water.
