Two residents from Mahatma Gandhi nagar a jhuggi in Raipur says their houses were broken 3 times in the past but finally they were brutally evicted on 10th June by authorities. Since then they are living in a nearby crematorium but authorities are using a Congress leader to throw them out from there too. They request for help and say they plan to intensify their agitration. Dilip from Raipur says gang rape of a school girl on 16th July when she went to a remote area with her boy friend is not a one off incident. He says one boy called him up who does not want to be identified but said the same boys had tried to rape his girl friend in last October when he visited that area. He had not reported it to police. Dilip says these boys and girls are going to these unsafe areas because there are not enough places for young people to meet in cities.

Chhattisgarh handicapped association is planning a dharna and rally demanding rights of handicapped people from all over the state on 25th January in Raipur. The dharna will start at 9 on Budha Talab and the rally to Mantralay will start at 1 pm.

CR Bakshi fram Raipur is reporting about a meeting today where release of Dr Binayak Sen and repeal of laws like Chhattisgarh Jan Suraksha Adhiniyam was demanded. CR Bakshi from Raipur says CPI, CPM, Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha and many peoples organisations have come together to organize a dharna in Raipur tomorrow to demand release of Dr Binayak Sen and repeal of CG vishesh Jan Surakhsa Adhiniyam. He says the decision against Dr Sen was influenced by police and was to make the state government happy and it was also to give a signal to every one who stands up against injustice that they will also face similar fate.
