Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh is telling about a NREGA work of deepening of pond in Turna village of Lakhanpur block from 2010. He says 63 laboreres worked on it and no wages have been paid to any of them so far. Total of Rs 1,47,700 wages are due to the people, for which they have complained to Panchayat, Janpad and also to collector. People have also gone to labor court but have not got any help yet. Sanjay Sharma is telling us about a public hearing on non payment in MGNREGA on 5th March in Ambikapur in Surguja. 350 villagers from 30 villages took part in the hearing and presented letters from more than 700 laborers which talks of lakhs of rupees of due payment in MGNREGA.
