Impact: School opens after 7 months, after Swara report
Tapan Das from Nuapada district of Odisha says my colleague has sent a report on this forum a few days back about a school which was not opened for 7 months because no teacher turned up there. After hearing the report form this Monday administration has sent a teacher and from today the school has reopened. Road constructed with anti Naxal money, villagers happy...
Tapan Das today is telling us the story about a village in border of Odisa and Chhattisgarh. The village got no road, no electricity, no water in 65 years after independence. Thanks to Integrated Action Plan of Govt of India to fight Maoists a road has been constructed in the village and villagers are very happy. Borewell was a boon which turned a bane!
Tapan Das is telling a story about a village called talsepani in Nuapada district of Odisha. The village is surrounded by hills from all sides and when administration put a handpump in the village in 1988 people got very happy. But slowly people started falling ill and much later they realized that it was due to excess fluoride in the handpump water. NREGA: No wages for digging 2000 ponds from 18 months
Tapan Das from Nuapada district of Odisha is telling us that Collector had given oral orders to farmers to build farm ponds upto the cost of Rs 10,000 to 2000 farmers in June 2010 under NREGA. But after one and half years none of the farmers have got the wages for digging the ponds. Rather the administration is charging the farmers of using machines to dig these ponds in their lands. Drunk teacher beats students, school goes on strike
