Vipin Mishra from Yuva Sangharsh Morcha Raigarh says he found on the midnight of 20th January that NREGA work was being done with the help of machines and vehicles. He called up Collector and other higher officials and get the work stopped. But he says now it is more than 2 and half months and no action has been taken. Rishi from Satna says in last 5 year plan people in his area worked in NREGA but neither the work of digging the wells on some farmer’s land was completed nor the workers were paid. He says more than 70 workers worked and some for more than a month. He says now the workers say they will prefer to die of hunger rather than working for NREGA.
