Ramkailash Kol says the on 8th day of Land rights Cycle Yatra of Kol Adivasi prerna Abhiyan has reached village Ghuman in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh. He finds out that the 100 Kol adivasi families there got land deeds in 1980 and 2000 from the govt but they have not got possession of the lands. Achchhelal tells him that they are 36 adivasi families living on the forest land from 1979. In 2001-02 govt gave them the land deed. But after some time some officials cancelled their deed. My name is Balram Singh Gond. I am an adivasi. I am calling from village Rahunia, Panchayat Bilha in Majhgawan block of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh. A group of us are farming on forest land from before 2000. I was told there is a law according to which we will get land deeds. Collector came to our panchayat and he said the same and we filled up forms as requried but we have not got land deeds and forest department people often harass us and trouble us when we do farming.
