Govt had started procurement process for this land in 1965 but no construction started so many tribals were using the land for their livelihood and were also paying tax. Aloka from Ranchi says it is not possible to dig wells or ponds on rocky land because the Manrega scheme is limited to planting trees, soil shifting, and leveling activity.Cutting rock is not included in the scheme.
