An electric pole was erected 2 years ago, wires were pulled a year back but still there is no electricity here. Naresh Bunkar is visiting Machamahua village of 65 Baiga adivasis under Bijarakachhar panchayat in Lormi block of Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh where villagers tell him that there is a Govt school in village which has 45 children but teacher comes only once or twice in a month. They fetch water from river 1.5 km away. People fall ill due to dirty water. Health center is 15 km away . They complained to officials many times but no one listens. The village is surrounded by forest and sometime back a boy was bitten by snake due to darkness. Children can not study. They have complained to all local official but no one helps.
