Appeal to work for complete prohibition in Chhattisgarh
Kaladas Daharia from Chhattisgarh anti liquor campaign says we should be demaning a complete ban on intoxicating elements in the state because it is destroying families and future of our next generation. He says the statement of minister that people should be allowed to make 5 liters of liquor should be contested. Earning revenue at the cost of lives and future of people is like giving them venom which should not be allowed

Misuse of law feared to help Power plant in Chhattisgarh
Laxmi Chouhan from Korba says there is a public hearing for acquiring land for coal mines for power plant of Dainik Bhaskar group on 28th February. He says the area is under 5th schedule and Gram Sabhas have passed resolution saying they do not want to give land. But he suspects that administration will use section 17 of Land Acquisition Act to bypass this objection. He says section17 is for emergency situations and could not be used to acquire land for a private company. He requests people to be vigilent to fight this possible misuse of law. Below Poverty Line families getting less ration in Chhattisgarh
Sanjay Sharma from Pampapur village in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh reports that some Below Poverty Live families got 25 kilo of subsidized ration last month instead of 35 in Public Distribution System ( PDS). He says when this was reported in the Panchayat meeting it was disrupted and no resolution could be passed to be forwarded to authorities. Sanjay requests administration to look into the matter. Trade Union of MGNREGA workers formed in Chhattisgarh
Rajim from Saraipali block in Chhattisgarh says they have formed a trade union of workers in MGNREGA. In the meeting to form the trade union many issues came up. One of them is that people who get old age pension they are getting denied from MGNREGA work and in many villages no work has been sanctioned under MGNREGA and people are migrating in search of work. Rajim speaks to one such laborer who says they want work but no work is starting in their village

A displaced adivasi from Chhattisgarh tells story of his life
An adivasi from Chhattisgarh who migrated to Andhra Pradesh five year ago tells about his situation. He says I had to leave my village and land in Chhattisgarh in fear of Naxalites and here the police and forest department wants to send me back. Somehow we are serviving from last 5 years. Government does not help us with anything. Police says we are Naxal supporter and if we go with Naxals police harass us. How should we live?
