FRA: Living from 46 years, also went to jail but adivasis yet to get land deeds...

Ramkailash Kol in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh is visiting a forest village called Gadhvai today. There are 55% adivasis in the village and rest are dalits. They are living in this forest land from 46 years. 53 people were arrested for this and were left in Rewa without any money to walk back home in 2 days some time back but they are yet to get their land deeds under forest rights act. Have no water, light, road, anganwadi, land deeds under FRA, says tribals...

Ramkailash Kol is visiting forest village Chhaparia in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh. Here 400 Kol adivasis are living on forest land from 45 years but they have not got land deeds under Forest Rights Act yet. They tell him that they have no anganwadi, no light, no road. Kanha displaced yet to get land deeds under Forest Rights act, Pls help...

My name is Panchhu Marawi. I am calling from Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh. My village was displaced from Kanha national park in 1977. Some families got land at that time as displacement package but others captured forest land and have been working on them from 1990s. They have filled application form under Forest Rights act and have paid bribe as advised by local forest officials but they are yet to get their land deeds. Adivasi working on land from 20 years, Forest dept evicts, plants Jatropha...

Chandra Pratap Singh from Navrachna in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh is visiting a village called Sirhitti in Gourela block where he meets an adivasi farmer Mewalal who tells him though he was working on forest land from more than 20 years the forest department officials threw him out and planted Jatropha in 2007.
