Mogji Bhagora President Adivasi Ekta Parishad in Rajasthan is telling us that 235 adivasi families requested mining lease on 623 hectare of land. Govt said it is forest land and lease can not be given. Adivasis went to high court and Mines ministry in Delhi but got no help. Munni Devi from Rewa in MP is walking on a foot march of Dalit Mahasabha from 1st January demanding 5 acres of land to each landless. She says we just heard our CM has announced that they will give wheat at Rs 1 and Rice at Rs 2 to poor. She requests CM to not to mislead people by tempting them with these announcemnts which will make poor more poor. State should distribut excess land amongst poor.
