Khuturam Sunani is talking to a villager in Bolangir district of Odisha who says the school in his village was inaugurated by MLA in 2006 but because it is on forest land so the forest department is not allowing a school building to be built and children are forced to study under a tree. Chandrakant from Surguja in Chhattisgarh is talking to Larang Sai who works with adivasis. Larang Sai ji says that only those people from Primitive Tribe Groups ( PTGs) who live in hills here have got deeds under Forest Rights Act who lived on that land from before 1980. Bhan Sahu visited an adivasi village in Rajnandgaon district today where forest department has stopped adivasi farmers from cultivating forest land. They were cultivating these forest land from more than 15 years. She says there are few influential adivasi families including the headman who own lands and do not want others to have land are conniving with forest department. Ruchi Panda from Nuapada district of Orissa says since 2005 no traditional forest dweller has got land rights since the law was inacted. And those tribals who have got land rights, their deeds are not eligible for food insurance. 2 thousand people participated in a rally demanding these legitimate rights under banner of Jal jungle Mukti Andolan.
