Many in my village of 9 houses were suffering from fever and Govt health officials were not responding then I recorded a message on CGnet Swara. After listeners of CGnet called officers a health team immediately visited and attended all the sick people at their homes. A Public Health and Engineering team visited and inspected hand pumps. All official documents like Aadhar and ration card describe them as Baiga but land record of revenue dept calls some of them as Bhumia, Souta, Bhaina etc. When students are going for caste certificate officers are denying them saying they are not Baiga. Adivasis from this village worked for Govt under employment guarantee act 5 months back for deepening of pond but are still waiting for wages. On the night of 5th June village women like Ramkali Kujur and Budhkunwar from Jakadbandha village in Lormi block of Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh caught headmaster of local Primary school Mr Lahre while he was smuggling 5.5 quintal rice meant for children in mid-day meal to sell.
