APL people are those who does not earn that much that they can buy from open market so this is causing big problem to these people. Jyoti Tomar from Delhi says she is doing some research with a Women’s group in slums of Delhi and she has found out that Govt is not making any new ration cards from 2008. The Govt is also not making any new Below Poverty Line cards which is causing huge problem for poor families. She requests the Govt to restart giving ration and BPL cards soon. Sumedha Bose from Delhi says Govt is saying that they have cancelled 50% ration cards in slums. This has caused big problem to the people. The people who have applied for new ration cards they have not been issued and no reason has been given for cancellation or not making new cards.She says people need to go to the food minister and need to do movement on the subject. Santosh Tudu from Ranchi Jharkhand says he had heard a message on Swara on 24th June. According to the message ration card dealer of a village in Jharkhand had taken away ration cards of people which he was using to black market the food grains meant for the villagers. He says when I called the person who had reported he was very pleased to report that his ration card was returned after he reported on Swara.
