Ratikant from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh says that Govt websites are telling that everyone is entitled to get 3.85 liter of kerosene oil but the ration shops are giving only 2 liter to people who live Below Poverty line. People with Above Poverty Line card are not given any kerosene though the website says otherwise. It is a scam of crores of rupees and needs to be investigated. Chandrakant from Chanta village in Kabirdham district says this adivasi village has its subsidized ration shop 30 kms away and the Baiga, Gond adivasis need to travel through steep hills to get their ration. Repeated complaint to officers have not helped. But subsidized ration is not the only problem here. There is a NREGA work going on in the village where law is not being adhered to. He says though his panchayat is a poor panchayat and they have complained to all the officers but no one has got the ration cards and the next panchayat elections are nearby. Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says all of you know about my NREGA non payment case.But today I want to talk about issues of others in my village.The day Human Rights commission came to enquire about my case they also went to Panchayat bhavan which was closed. The ration shop was open but did not have any kerosene, sugar or salt. Some people in my village have their names on the BPL list from 2002 but they have not got ration cards yet.
