Supply of rotten food to anganwadi stops after complaint
Samar Sai from Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh is telling a good story today. He says the anganwadis in the area were giving rotten food to children and women. Then people got together and after a survey gave a detailed report to the collector and she immediately ordered to change the food to all the anganwadis. Names in BPL list from 2002 but no ration card issued yet !
Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says all of you know about my NREGA non payment case.But today I want to talk about issues of others in my village.The day Human Rights commission came to enquire about my case they also went to Panchayat bhavan which was closed. The ration shop was open but did not have any kerosene, sugar or salt. Some people in my village have their names on the BPL list from 2002 but they have not got ration cards yet. Above Poverty Line people not getting ration from last year
KM Yadav from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh says we all know about problem of ration to Below Poverty Line people but in one block in this district Above Poverty Line people have not got any ration from Dec 2010. APL people are those who does not earn that much that they can buy from open market so this is causing big problem to these people. Govt is not issueing ration cards in Delhi slums from 2008
Jyoti Tomar from Delhi says she is doing some research with a Women’s group in slums of Delhi and she has found out that Govt is not making any new ration cards from 2008. The Govt is also not making any new Below Poverty Line cards which is causing huge problem for poor families. She requests the Govt to restart giving ration and BPL cards soon. Many ration cards cancelled in Delhi, no new ones made
Sumedha Bose from Delhi says Govt is saying that they have cancelled 50% ration cards in slums. This has caused big problem to the people.
