My name is Balram Singh Gond. I am an adivasi. I am calling from village Rahunia, Panchayat Bilha in Majhgawan block of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh. A group of us are farming on forest land from before 2000. I was told there is a law according to which we will get land deeds. Collector came to our panchayat and he said the same and we filled up forms as requried but we have not got land deeds and forest department people often harass us and trouble us when we do farming. Ram Singh Uike from Adivasi Vikas Parisad in Korba Chhattisgarh says he filed a RTI application to find about development schemes but got no reply. When he went to file an appeal he was abused by officials raising his tribe. Then he appealed to special police stations for tribals and tribal commissioner but neither has done anything nor he has got his information under RTI.
