In my area Lalmatia open cast mine is operational of Eastern Coal field ltd under their Rajmahal project. According to RTI reply the lease of land got expired in 2003 and new application was not proper. The villagers were given compensation for 15 years which expired long back. My name is Charan Singh Parte. I am calling from Mawai block of Mandla district of MP. In our area Baiga adivasis do not have land deeds on the land they have been working for ages. After Forest Rights act officials have given land deeds for one or one and half acre of land to them without visiting the area. Forest dept now are throwing them out by force. My name is Santoshi Devi. I am from Ghurma Markundi in Robertsganj, Sonbhadra district UP. Displacement is a big issue for us. We used to have Govt school here but when JP cement company came here it not only bulldozed out crop and house, Govt school also got closed. JP private school needs Rs 1200. Chhotu Adivasi from Rashtriya Dalit Mahasabha and Adivasi Adhikar Manch is talking to some landless dalits and adivasis who tell him that they dont have any land. They also tell him there is hardly any education in Govt schools their children go to. Teacher comes and sits in chair to while away time. Govt has so much land and they should give it to poor dalits and adivasis. Landlesssness is the main reason of backwardness of these people. Chhotuji@9993340372
