After the Swara report some journalists reached hospital and that Rs 30,000 was waived off. I thank you all for helping that poor family. Hospital not releasing body of a laborer, need more money
A laborer Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja in Chhattisgarh says a fellow laborer was sick and was admitted in a hospital in Ambikapur with his Smart card which government has issued to people living Below poverty line. He was sent to a hospital called MMI in Raipur where he died. His family members have deposited Rs 20,000 to the hospital. CM helps laborers build houses, police breaks them down!
My name is Sumi Sahu. I am a laborer in Urla industrial area near Raipur. On 4th July 2011 we went to meet Chief Minister in his Jan Darshan program requesting him to give land for laborers working in Urla. Our ticket number was 50051100046. CM passed on our request to Collector who passed it on the City administration who orally asked us to build houses. We built 200 houses as per their instruction but the police broke our houses. Impact: Swara report helps close liquor shop in village
Surendra Hanspal is reporting from a village called Sandi Bangla 55 kms north of Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Swara beneficiary turns activist, finds others suffering alike
Pitbasu Bhoi is a laborer who got his wages for 100 days of wrok in NREGA last year only after he complained in Swara. Though he had lost his son before because he could not pay for his treatment. Today he travels in the villages to find out about situation of other laborers. Today he is visiting a village where he finds out that laborers have not got wages from last year and the officials do not fill the entry in their job cards.
