Adivasis residing from 50 years not have deeds for house land, Please help
Brijesh Singh is visiting Gram Panchayt Umri in Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh where in Adivasi basti there are 50 adivasi houses who tell him that they are living there for more than 50 years but they dont have any deeds for the land where there houses are built. Govt trying to move displaced of Jobat dam farming on Govt land from 3 yrs...
Narsingh Chouhan and other farmers who were displaced by Jobat dam in Alirajpur district in MP and have been farming on Govt land in Bedla village from 3 years say Govt is again trying to evacuate them from this land. Govt has showed them land which is occupied by people. This year Govt also gave them electricity connection and they paid Rs 26,000 for 3 motors and now Govt has cut the connection. It's our land, Govt came much later, We will fight till end,says adivasi woman
Dhruv bhai is helping us listen to Sushila Behen from Mathna village in Mandla district in MP who are doing a Satyagraha from 15 months demanding Forest Rights. She tells that this is their land which they are using from many generations. Govt came much later. Six of them were arrested and Govt is calling them Naxalite. They are destroying their crop. If land goes under dam we'll be completely destroyed says adivasi farmer
Omprakash Baghel in visiting Jajga village in Udaipur block of Surguja district in Chhattisarh where Ultra Power plant company wants to build a dam on Red river. He talks to villagers who tell him that they are getting united to fight to stop it. They say farming is the only source of livelihood for them and if their land goes under submergence then they will be completely destroyed. So they will fight it out tooth and nail. We need land, Red(BPL) ration card & toilets, says dalits and adivasis in UP
Bundelkhand Vikas cycle Yatra has reached Pargana village in Chirgam block of Jhansi district in UP where dalit and adivasi people tell him that first they need is land for farming and making house. They need Red ration cards for Below Poverty line people. They have a hand pump but no toilets. Govt should help them make toilets they request but most important is land as many of them do not have houses. What they make breaks very often. Kamal@08416937540
