Today they do not get Govt support on policies because they do not have individual land deeds. Ramashankar Prajapati is visiting Itaura village in Post sagra in Tahsil Hujur of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh and meets Yashoda Saket who tells him that around 80% of the 700 people living here dont have ration cards. Very few have BPL cards though all of them are daily wage laborers. They also dont have Job cards. They have complained to officials and local MLA but they got only assurances. They dont have land. Govt has not given displaced people land after submerging and as a last option they had occupied and many officials have visited and know about this.
