Naresh Bunkar is visiting village Kandavani at the border of Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh with Mandla in MP. People there tell him that the Anganwadi in charge there comes once in 2 months. Her assistant reaches once a week and cook mid day meal. Rest of the days the center is closed and Baiga children and pregnant women are suffering. Naresh Bunkar from Kawardha district in Chhattisgarh is telling that Bharat Aluminium Co ( Balco) is mining bauxite on land of 5 Adivasi villages from 1997 which it took on 20 years lease. 66 Baiga Adivasis were displaced. Today when we are demanding papers for starting the mining operation and the whole process of taking those land under RTI they say no papers are available.
