An Adivasi man Kattam Ramaiah is calling in Gondi language from Srirampuram village in Kottacolony of Burgampad Mandal in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. He says every day they need to walk 6 km for fetching their drinking water. They have no ration card, NREGA Job card, voter card, anganvadi center or a school in their village. Anand Ji from Adivasi Adhikar Manch in Majhgawan block in Satna in MP is visiting a village called Kanpur in Patnakhurd Gram Panchayat where people tell him that they have not got NREGA work from 5 years. Their job cards are with local officials. Some got work but wages are due. They allege that in recent past NREGA work is taking place with help from machines and labor from outside the village. Mohan Yadav Ji today is visiting adivasi areas in Seoni district of MP and meets Gondi speaking farmers. They tell him that they have problem of water and need to migrate to cities in search of work.
