Karelal Baiga is visiting house of Tikwa Baiga s/o Keju in Amwar village of Mawai block in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. He finds that Tikwa was sanctioned a house under Indira Awas Yojna. Lakhan Singh Baiga from Jago Jan Parishad in Chhattisgarh says they toured 50 villages in 9 panchayats in districts of Bilaspur and Korba last month and found that people are suffering on account of NREGA and Forest Rights Act. They have found that more than Rs 5 lakhs is due to people in wages. Many have not got land under FRA and many have got 2 acres while they are entitled for 5.
