In this village of 32 adivasi families they told him that they were given land deeds for one acre each in 2001-02 by Govt but none of them have got the possession. They tell him that they first got land deeds from Govt in 1977 but they were cancelled. Then 15 people got land papers in 2001-02 but they are yet to get any possession. Charan Singh Parte from Mandla Madhya Pradesh is visiting nearby Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where Baiga adivasis are sitting on a protest in Pandaria against a proposed Tiger corridor. He talks to some of them who tell him that they are living on forest land from 2001 in their villages.
