Farmers in Rewa MP have cultivated onion and the production cost is around Rs 10 per kilogram but the market rate is around Rs 3-4 now. Govt has not fixed any Minimum support price and some businessmen are trying to buy it in even Rs 2. The farmers are very sad and don’t know how to recover their input costs. Now this program can be downloaded by people from their Gram Panchayat office if it has Broadband or from a download centre nearby. They can also get it from someone with smartphone and internet via bluetooth.

I have never heard of Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance scheme. Last year I had paid for some crop insurance but did not even get a receipt. We have electricity but no meters here.
