Locals have informed the forest department but they have not taken up any action. Naresh Bunkar from Kawardha in Chhattisgarh is telling us about village Bhangitola where Baiga adivasis are living from before 2005 as prescribed by Forest Rights Act. A forest ranger told them that if they give Rs 3000 each then he will get them land deeds under FRA in few months. 33 adivasis have paid him Rs 99000 but they have not got any land deeds.
