Bundelkhand Vikas Yatra has reached village Singnaudi in Block Bharua Sumerpur in Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh where Kamal Gautam is talking to some people who tell him that 14 of them worked for Public Health and Engineering dept of Govt under NREGA a year ago but they are still waiting for more than Rs 5000 of wages each. JM Rangeela from Bokaro Jharkhand is talking to Chunnulal Soren of Ekta Parishad about situation of NREGA in the district. He says NREGA is engulfed with corruption and if investigated will be of crores and many higher officers will be found guilty. He says machines and contractors are being used and social activists don’t raise issues in fear. He gives examples where people’s requests are not accepted, if accepted they don’t give any receipt.
