Kaladas Daharia is reporting from NTPC Sipat in Bilaspur where for the first time Labor Day was observed. He says there are 12,000 contract workers here and no one get any minimum wages. Today the farmers who lost their land to NTPC and full time workers also joined the celebration and have decided to file FIR against NTPC for not following labor laws. Kaladas Daharia says two year old agitation of Chhattisgarh anti liquor campaign is having some impact and Govt was forced to close 239 liquor shops but the call by Govt and Congress to make the state liquor free is a gimmick. He says if Govt wants to do that they should close all disitilleries and they should produce industrial spirit and export it. That will also bring revenue for the state. According to a survey more than 15,000 illegal liquor shops are running in the state. Many of them have protection from police and police have also beaten up people protesting against.
