Former DGP Chhattisgarh returns to work in Home Guard
Surendra Hanspal from Raipur in Chhattisgarh says after Govt had transferred former DGP Vishwaranjan to the post of DGP Home Guard he had gone on a long leave and it was suspected that angry former DGP will not return. But it looks Govt has persuaded him to return. After joining as DGP Home Guard few weeks back Mr Vishwaranjan has said that Govt has also given him a big responsibility of building safe houses for police people working in remote Naxal affected areas. Primitive Tribal Groups not got land deeds under Forest act
Chandrakant from Surguja in Chhattisgarh is talking to Larang Sai who works with adivasis. Larang Sai ji says that only those people from Primitive Tribe Groups ( PTGs) who live in hills here have got deeds under Forest Rights Act who lived on that land from before 1980. Rest have not got their deeds for the forest land though they have been living on those lands for long. FRA talks of giving deeds to tribals who were living on the forest land from 2005. Baiga tribal dies of diarrhea, many in need of treatment
Chandrakant Yadav from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh is telling us that Govt has made special provisions for Baiga tribals like no sterlisation etc so that the dwindling number of the tribe is improved. But on the other hand no health facilities are provided to these people and they die of preventable diseases like diarrhea every monsoon. Dharna in Ranchi demanding special status to adivasi languages
