Anganbadi centers should have buildings
Bhan Sahu from Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh reports that not only in villages but in towns like Ambagarh Chowki Anganwadi centers do not have any building though the centers are running for more than a decade. She says the concept of Anganwadi is very useful and government should treat it as first step towards education. It is very useful for mothers who have no support at home to look after small children

Dalit woman sarpanch leaves village in fear of Panchayat secretary
Bhan Sahu says we have started Panchayati Raj institutions for empowerment of poor but have not trained people. And in result the government appointed employees, the secretaries are making fools of elected Sarpanchs. Many sarpanchs are facing enquiries when the real culprits are the secretaries. Thanks to reservation for women and backward sections many have come forward. As an example she tells the story of a dalit woman sarpanch of Hachid village in Gormi panchayat in Chhattisgarh who is forced to leave the village in the fear of secretary and police also does not help. Clean village campaign money should be spent in a better way
Bhan Sahu is talking about annual celebration of clean villages ( Nirmal Gram) on 15th October. She says many villages have been declared Clean Village on paper by the government but the ground reality is different. Schools and Anganwadis do not have supply of soap. The latrines in schools are permanently locked. She says at one end people do not have drinking water in many villages and government is spending crores in the name of making the villages clean

Victim of misbehavior does not get help from police
Bhan Sahu is reporting from a village in Mahasamund district where a poor adivasi girl who was a victim of misbehavior and police is not helping her even after intervention from Chhattisgarh Mahila Manch. The girl is now forced to live in a different village in fear. Bhan says it is not the story of one girl but poor in general do not get any support from police
