They say they have been to local administration many times who have also visited them to check on their demands but have not delivered on anything. Jagdish Ji is talking about importance of land ownership and says it is not only a source of income but it is associated with self esteem. In 2000 Govt of MP had distributed land deeds to over 3 lakhs dalits and adivasis and it looks many of them are still running pillar to post to get possession of that land.
