Women get together to stop liquor sale in village in Rajnandgaon
Bhan Sahu is telling story of a village near Ambagarh Chowki in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh where there were 15 families who used to make liquor for their living. But village headman and some women got together and have forced those families to not make liquor. They say now children have also started drinking in the village and those families should find other occupation rather than selling liquor. She tells about two women in the village who are forced to live with their parents due to drinking habit of their husbands

NREGA : Wages not paid from May 2010 in Rajnandgaon
Bhan Sahu is reporting from Atra village in Rajnandgaon where she speaks to a farmer Bir Singh Malekar who says we worked in NREGA in the month of May June last year and we have not been paid yet. We also did a hunger strike but the officials gave us a false promise. Thanks to non payment many from my village have migrated. Another batch is migrating this week. This is not only the story of my village. It is the story of whole panchayat and entire district. He also says it is said that the wage is Rs 100 but we get less after various deduction. Many sick due to Malaria in Rajnandgaon district as well
Bhan Sahu from Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh reports that she has heard about malaria deaths in Bilaspur district in CGnet Swara. Similar situation is prevalent in Rajanandgaon district and nearby border area of Maharashtra where some have died and many are sick. Poor first go to quacks and when they do not get cured then go to bigger hospitals and loose lots of money in the process. She says government should be running awareness campaign about malaria and correct medicine should be made available

Still no NREGA payment in Rajnandgaon villages
Bhan Sahu is reporting from villages in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh where NREGA payments have not been made from last many months. Last month people went in big numbers to the Janpad office to complain after spending money on transport but still there is no response. Pension for old and widow has also stopped from last 4 months and the construction of an anganwadi building is not completed in last 4 years. She says this is the situation of development

Non payment of NREGA wages in Rajnandgaon
Bhan Sahu reports from Direjhal village in Nawagaon block of Rajnandgaon district where villagers have not been paid wages of Rs 3.5 lakhs in works under National Rural Employment Guarantee Act from April. Similarly the payment has also not been done in Tatekasa block of the same district
