Jagdish Ji is visiting Dalit colony in Dabhaura town in Rewa Madhya Pradesh and finds people waiting for drinking water for 2-3 hours on a single hand pump. He talks to people filling water who tell him that the only hand pump is also broken and it takes more than an hour to start flow of water. Jagdish is visiting Dinanath Adivasi in Dhurkhuch forest village in Rewa district of MP who has single handedly developed forest in 1500 acres of forest land. He has also dug two wells with his wife Nanki bai but there is not enough water to grow his own crop. They need to bring water from a kilometer away for saplings in Prem Van, the forest they have developed. Jagdish is telling us about 73 adivasi families of forest village Guthwai in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh. He says I recently visited there and people told us that they applied for forest rights act in 2009 but since have not heard from govt. They are living on this forest land for generations.
