Appeal to attend public hearing for coal mines in Raigarh on 28th
Rajesh Tripathi from Jan Chetna organisation in Raigarh says that days before planned public hearing for coal mines for DB Power plant there are many illegal activities going on in the area with connivance of administration. The company people are bribing and threatening people. The details given in the EIA report are incorrect. He requests journalists and social activists to attend the hearing on 28th February to report on any suspected foulplay

Bank officials create trouble for NREGA payment in Mandla
Rajesh Bairagi is reporting from Chiraidangri village between Mandla and Jabalpur. He says government now gives NREGA payment only from the bank and the State bank officials come late in this rural branch and people need to visit many times to get their money. They also get refused payment when their account has less money. People need this money to run their daily expenses and government should make special arrangement so that they are given their payments in time
