They say poles were erected 17 years ago and they are in bad shape and quite a few people have died in last few years in accidents related to it. Krishna Kumar is calling from Pampapur village in Ambikapur block of Surguja district in Chhattisgarh. He says there is a village of Pahadi Korwa primitive tribes on south of their panchayat around 5 kms away on the hill. Work of rural electrification started there in 2011-12. Contractor made villagers work but did not pay neither he completed the work. There was no light in my village from more than a year as transformer was broken and electricity officers were only making excuses.
