Banks are asking bribe of Rs 200 from each farmer : A villager

Saroj Paraste is reporting from a villagers meeting in an adivasi village in Jabalpur district of Chhattisgarh. She says farmers are discussing many of their problems. Some are talking of non payment of compensation from hailstone. One was complaining that Bank officials are demanding Rs 200 bribe from each farmer. Some complained about no roads in their villages. Water is the biggest problem, say villagers in MP

Many village problems have come out in these meetings but all the villages have earmarked the problem of water as the biggest problem. Allegation of corruption in ASHA health workers program

Saroj Paraste from Kundam block of Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh alleges that people had to pay money to get appointments of ASHA community health workers. She also alleges that ASHA sisters are forced to pay half the amount for delivery and other health related work to officials. She says sisters are not able to complain in fear of loosing their work. गांव का हाल: महिलाओं की ज़ुबानी

Saroj Paraste is a participant in a village meeting going on in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Women from 20 villages of Mandla, Jabalpur and Katni are taking part in the meeting. Using her mobile phone she tries to find out the situation of education, health and NREGA in their villages. The women tells her there is school but teacher does not turn up, hospital is 25 kms away and they have not been paid NREGA wages from more than 6 months. They also sing a song at the end
