No connecting road to our adivasi villages, requests to officers not working...

Kalmula Garaiha is calling from Chedalaguda village of Chinturu Mandal, East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh and speaking in his adivasi Gondi language to say that 6 nearby Adivasi villages next to village also don’t have a road. Officials have not taken any action despite repeated appeals, they had earlier recorded a message on Swara but no action. Came to AP from Chhattisgarh 9 years ago, still no electricity, road says IDP...

My name is Karmula Aitaiya. I am calling from Kotturu village in Chinturu mandal of Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh. We came to Andhra 9 years ago from Chhattisgarh. We cleared forest to make cultivable land. Govt still has not given us electricity connection. We also do not have road. Our children need to cross a stream to go to school, Pls help with a bridge...

Kalmula Ermaiah a Gondi speaking farmer from Kulsmamedi village in VR Puram mandal in Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh says one need to cross a stream to reach our village. There is no bridge. We dont have a school and our children need to cross this stream to go to school 4 kms away. We are very worried for this. We also drink water from this stream as the tube well is not working. Request to help save blackbuck and also agriculture...

Amulya Upadhyay is president of Blackbuck conservation society in Ganjam district of Odisha. He says due to their efforts the number of Blackbuck has grown from 400 to more than 2000. But with increasing number of blackbuck it is causing problem in agriculture. He says Govt should help farmers with irrigation so that they have more crop and blackbucks can also survive as it is the only place in India where blackbucks are found in such a number.
