Jagdish is visiting Sakargaila forest land under Devkhar panchayat of Rewa district Madhya Pradesh where 700 Adivasis are living for 3 generations from 1985 and have filled claim form under Forest Rights act. 27 of them have got lease for limited land but not on what they had demanded. Forest department has now sent all of them notices to leave their land. They want the lease on the basis of their claim. Chandmani Shandil is calling from Tainsar village and panchayat under Lathikata block, district Sundergarh, Odisha and talking to Santosh Minz who is telling that 98 Adivasis in his village still haven’t got land lease from 5 years under Forest Right Act though land survey was also done. Gaju Devgam is calling from Manoharpur Block of West Singhbhum District in Jharkhand and talking to Sushil Barla who is participating in a rally and says 310 of them haven’t got their forest right and Voter id yet in Saranda forest area. Many are joining the rally from different forest areas with similar demands. They will hand over the memorandum to Block Development Officer addressed to Governor for their demands.
