Shyamrao Dhawle from Chhindwada district of Madhya Pradesh says a Hanumn temple in the region also works as a theraupetic center for mental patients. Thousands of mental patients come to the temple for treatment though they do not get any treatment. 75% of the patients are women. The temple collects crores in donation but neither the temple nor Govt is doing anything to help these patients. More than a dozen patients have died last year. Prakash Oraon from village Newari in Latehar district of Jharkhand says that people in his village are protesting against work of TCML ( A joint venture of Hindalco and Tata Power) from a week but the company is contuning their work. He alleges that for breaking the people’s resistance company is using brokers who are supplying liquor and other intoxicating stuff to people in the village.
