Jharkhand Bachao Andolan demands release of Jeeten Marandi

Gopi Ghosh from Jharkhand Bachao Andolan says last week a lower court in Jharkhand has given death sentence against 4 maoists which includes Jeeten Marandi a cultural activist. He says Jeeten is not a maoist and has been framed in this case by a conspiracy. He has been doing cultural activism in villages from more than a decade and the movement demands his release. People protesting against illegal mines still in jail in Rajasthan

Workers demanding implementation of High Court order arrested

Bhola Nishad from Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha is talking about arrest of two leaders Lakhan Sahu and Bhagvati Sahu. Laborers of multinational Holcim cement company are continuing with their agitation from more than one and half month to force implementation of High Court order to regularize workers. Instead of arresting security staff of the company who is terrorizing the agitating workers police have arrested the leaders of the agitation on charges of dacoity. Worked 2 years ago, still no payment, how can we survive?

Shobharam Ji from Bodla in Kabirdham ( Kawardha) district of Chhattisgarh says in his village they have worked for government programs of building roads and other works but have not been paid.
