Naresh Bunkar is calling from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh to tell that contractor responsible for making Govt road between Sendurkhar and Sarpani has illegally cut trees in forest and is mining for road metal. He is baffled that if Baiga adivasis capture any forest land and cut a single tree they are sent to jail but forest officials are not acting on this illegal work which is happening in broad daylight in front of them. Naresh Bunkar from Kawardha district in Chhattisgarh is thanking Swara for helping get a road to Baiga adivasi villages under Pradhanmantri Gramin Sadak Yojna. A road was sanctioned in 2008 of 5.8 kms and was supposed to be completed in an year but nothing had moved even after multiple complaints. Nagendra Sharma from Kaimur district of Bihar is telling that adivasis live in Adhaura block of this district in hilly and forested region. The road from Rohtas to Adhaura was not getting widened because forest dept was not giving permission for the same. He says I had reported about it on Swara and I am glad to announce that I just read in the newspaper that a No objection certificate has been issued for the widening of the road.
