Adivasis fighting land grab are branded as Maoists in Odisha, alleges leader
Gananath Patra adviser to Chasi Muliya Adibasi Sangh in Koraput Odisha says their movement is fighting land grab and liquor sale and have no connection with Maoists. The movement was able to get some land back for adivasis from outsiders but Govt is putting CMAS leaders in jail by calling them Maoists. He says I was in jail for 2 years and hundreds of adivasis are still there. Govt should be talking to us instead if they want to solve the problems.

Govt delaying Gram Sabha to help Vedanta, alleges Niyamgiri villagers...
Giridhari Patra from Niyamgiri Suraksha Samiti in Kalahandi Odisha is telling us that people from Niyamgiri hills did a meeting and have shown displeasure on Govt delaying proposed Gram Sabhas to decide whether Vedanta be allowed mining in Niyamgiri hills. Wont allow company to mine Niyamgiri, Adivasis tell in rally before Gram Sabha
Giridhari Patra from Kalahandi,Odisha tells us about the rally by the Dongoria Kondh of Niyamgiri against the Vedanta Company. The people had a meeting at Munikhol after a 5 days foot march. Animal died after drinking water in Red mud pond, What is future of villagers?
Giridhari Patra from Lanjigarh near Niyamgiri hills in Odisha is telling us that today a animal from forest came near red mud pond of Vedanta and died after drinking that water. Vedanta refinery in Lanjigarh pours all their polluted water to the pond. He says there is a village called Rengapalli very near to the pond. 25 people have died in the village due to TB and now they will also die due to this polluted water. They need your help.
