Govt must buy forest produce from adivasis at fixed rate to stop exploitation...
Pradeep in Alirajpur district of MP says theirs is an Adivasi district and livelihood of adivasis is mostly dependent on selling forest produce like Mahua, Tadi, Mango, Sendhola, Gum, honey etc. But he says Govt is not fixing a rate for these and Adivasis often get cheated by businessmen. Bhagoria annual festival for which migrated adivasis return home start today...
Pradeep from Alirajpur district in Madhya Pradesh is telling us about Bhagoria festival which started today. This festival goes on for a week till Holi. Many adivasis from this region migrate to other part of the country in search of work and they come back home for Bhagoria and again goes back after Holi. Children learn faster if taught in their Adivasi language, says Adivasi teacher
Pradeep is visiting Rani Kajal school in Kakrana village in Alirajpur district in MP where an adivasi teacher tells him that they educate Adivasi children in their Bhili language and they learn faster that way. The students of the school have regenerated a forest in 50 hectare with villagers in last 20 years. The students are also working on saving traditional seeds apart from the language and culture of adivasis. The children also sings a song. Pradeep@8889113494

Wont vacate Govt land until each dam oustee gets 5 acres as compensation...
Pradeep is visiting Jobat village in Alirajpur district in Madhya Pradesh where he meets farmers who have occupied Govt land from 3 years since Govt submerged 13 villages in Jobat dam on Hathini river without giving them 5 acres of land each as legal compensation. The farmers tell him that Govt is trying hard to evict them but they will fight back and will not leave the Govt land where they are farming unless they get 5 acres of land each. Pradeep@8889113494

Lives of many adivasi kids gets destroyed because of migration by parents...
Pradeep from Alirajpur is drawing our attention towards two biggest problem of the district, migration in search of work and fluoride in water. He says lives of many children have got destroyed because parents have migrated to other states in search of work and children are left behind. On the second problem Govt has marked danger signs on the hand pumps which are throwing water with fluoride but have not made any alternative arrangement. Pradeep@8085902811
