Jagdish Ji from Dabhaura in Rewa district in MP is telling us that people in their area had decided on 5th June World Environment Day to plant 1 lakh saplings this year with help from forest department. They are starting the work today which is influenced by Dinanath Adivasi who has planted trees in more than 100 acres on his own in last few years. Ram Singh Chourasia president of Bidi Mazdoor Sangh says there are more than 60,000 bidi workers in the district but the Govt hospital for them have no doctor and the workers are suffering. Central Govt has sent Rs 2 crore for the welfare of workers but due to negligence of local administration that money is on verge of going back.
